SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: TAILGATE TRAUMA

Reported at 5:55 p.m. on June 10: A would-be thief damaged a pickup truck at a home in the 4800 block of Allencrest Lane during a failed attempt to remove the tailgate.

11 Tuesday

Reported at 4:56 p.m.: a threat of bodily injury against a 72-year-old man at apartments in the 5800 block of Grassmere Lane. 

Reported at 6:35 p.m.: burglary of a vehicle at a home in the 4200 block of Cedarbrush Drive. 

Reported at 9:11 p.m.: the burglary of a vehicle parked at Preston Royal Village.

12 Wednesday

Reported at 8:23 a.m.: The burglary of the Shell gas station at Preston Valley Shopping Center involved breaking a window and taking property.

Reported at 11:08 a.m.: A vehicle was stolen from a home in the 6800 block of Orchid Lane.

Reported at 6:24 p.m. by KPOST Roofing and Water Proofing: the theft of a vehicle at a home in the 4600 block of Twin Post Road.

13 Thursday

Reported at 7:34 a.m. from the 6300 block of Del Norte Lane: A dog scratched a 70-year-old woman on both arms

Reported at 3:51 p.m.: A shoplifter took merchandise in a snatch-and-grab June 12 at Ulta Beauty at Preston Forest Village.

Reported at 4:23 p.m.: Thieves took copper wires on June 10 from the Tuesday Morning business office in the 6200 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway.

Reported at 5:06 p.m.: A parked vehicle was damaged on June 11 at apartments in the 6100 block of Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway. 

Reported at 8:32 p.m.: A vehicle parked at NorthPark Center had its rear window broken and property stolen from inside.

Reported at 9:37 p.m.: A purse was stolen from the behind the counter at Bread Winners Cafe at NorthPark Center.

14 Friday

Reported at 8:21 a.m.: A criminal trespass warning was issued at Sparkman/Hillcrest Funeral Home on Northwest Highway.

Reported at 1:31 p.m.: A shoplifter took merchandise from Ulta Beauty in Inwood Village. 

Reported at 4:02 p.m.: Property was stolen from a construction site at Jesuit Dallas. 

Reported at at 7:09 p.m. at NorthPark Center: the armed robbery of a New York man.

Reported at at 10:35 p.m.: A robber brandished a gun and demanded money at Berry Naked in Inwood Village.

15 Saturday

Reported at 7:59 a.m.: A 27-year-old woman got a scare in the 8100 block of Lemmon Avenue when a robber grabbed her and took her property

A criminal trespass warning was issued at 12:42 p.m. at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 12:50 p.m.: A truck was stolen from the 6400 block of Woodland Drive. 

Reported at 4:56 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen, and credit card fraud was also reported, from a home in the 4500 block of Dorset Road. 

16 Sunday 

A thief snatched a wallet from a purse hanging on the back of a chair at The Original Pancake House on Northwest Highway. The customer reported the crime the next morning.

An altercation at 1:38 a.m. at the 7700 block of Inwood Road resulted in one person getting bit on the finger.

Reported at 8:29 a.m.: A Fredericksburg woman’s vehicle was stolen on June 15 from a home in the 6300 block of Desco Drive. 

Reported at 8:20 p.m.: the theft of a McKinney woman’s vehicle from a home in the 4800 block of Bobbitt Drive.
