SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: BAD DEAL

Reported at 11:47 a.m. July 2 from the 6000 block of Woodland Drive: A 61-year-old man was defrauded to the tune of a $20,000 during a July 1 vehicle transaction.

1 Monday

Reported stolen at 7:26 a.m.: a vehicle parking in the 6400 block of Del Norte Lane.

A vehicle parked at Cooper Fitness Center on Preston Road had its windows broken and items stolen from inside at 7:32 p.m.

2 Tuesday

Reported at 9:04 a.m.: Two vehicles were stolen from on July 1 from a driveway in the 9300 block of Hollow Way Road.

Reported at 1:28 p.m.: An unlocked vehicle, parked at the 5100 block of Lakehill Court, was taken sometime on July 1.

3 Wednesday

Arrested at 3:07 p.m. at NorthPark Center: a 29-year-old man on a warrant.

Reported at 5:06 p.m.: A burglar removed property from vehicle parked at a home in the 4800 block of Nashwood Lane on July 1.

Reported at 5:16 p.m.: Materials were stolen on July 1 from a Olerio Homes construction site at the 6800 block of Stichter Avenue.

4 Thursday

Reported at 9:28 a.m.: A burglary occurred July 3 at a home in the 6700 block of Joyce Way.

5 Friday

A theft occurred after midnight at a home in the 4300 block of Caruth Boulevard.

Reported at 8:48 a.m.: The back door of Preston Hollow United Methodist Church on Walnut Hill Lane was pried open by the hinges on July 2 and property was stolen.

Reported at 12:39 p.m.: A vehicle backed into and damaged a parked vehicle at The Market at Preston Forest and then left without its driver leaving any information.

Reported at 2:17 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen from an apartment complex parking lot at the 5800 block of Harvest Hill Road.

After being pulled over for reckless driving in the 5900 block of Colhurst Street at 5:35 p.m. – and receiving a citation for driving without a valid drivers license – a 200-pound man was then held on a warrant by the city of Dallas.

Reported at 6:35 p.m.: A con artist tricked a 17-year-old Parker boy out of property on July 2 at the UT Southwestern Clinical Center on Hillcrest Road.

6 Saturday

Reported at 7:22 a.m.: Copper was stolen from First Watch at Preston Forest Village on July 5.

A criminal trespassing warning was issued at 4:22 p.m. at the 7-Eleven on Preston Road, near Preston Royal Village. 

7 Sunday 

Reported at noon: A vehicle was stolen at Preston Center.

Reported at 5:42 p.m.: A vehicle was stolen on July 5 from a home in the 4400 block of Caruth Boulevard.

Reported at 11:57 p.m.: Shoplifters took perfume from Ulta at Preston Forest Village.
