Try saying this three times fast:  Shake Shack safe stolen. Crooks pried open the door to the restaurant at Preston Royal after-hours before 2:42 a.m. July 15.

15 Monday

Before 4:30 p.m., a burglar broke the window of a vehicle at NorthPark Center and stole some of the contents.

16 Tuesday

The reporting time was unavailable for a theft that occurred at a home in the 6700 block of Talmadge Lane.

A resident of The Plaza at Edgemere Senior Living Community at Thackery Street and Northwest Highway reported a theft. The reporting time was unavailable.

Reported at 12:33 p.m.: the July 15 burglary of a home in the 6200 block of Del Norte Lane.

17 Wednesday

Reported at 12:01 a.m.: After damaging property of The Reserve at Bluffview townhouse development during a wreck in the 3900 block of Northwest Highway, a motorist drove off without leaving information.

At 12:19 p.m. at Macy’s at NorthPark Center, employees told a troublemaker to stay away from the store.

A crook took a handgun and wallet before 2:30 p.m. from a Tatum Brown Custom Homes truck parked in the 10700 block of Lennox Lane.

Reported at 4:30 p.m. from NorthPark Center: A vehicle window was broken, and property was stolen.

Before 5:24 p.m., a would-be burglar damaged a home in the 12100 block of Elysian Court.

Reported at 6:11 p.m.: On July 16, a vehicle collided with a 59-year-old man’s vehicle that was parked at Inwood Village. The offending driver did not leave information.

18 Thursday

The reporting time for a theft at a home in the 12500 block of Sunlight Drive was not available.

Reported at 9:06 a.m.: a failed attempt to steal a vehicle from an apartment parking lot in the 8600 block of Thackery Street.

Too cold to swim? Reported at 9:17 a.m.: A pool heater was stolen from a home in the 4500 block of Ridge Road.

Reported at 10:19 a.m.: A thief on July 15 used an opening in the back gate enter a property in the 7100 block of Azalea Lane and take property from the garage.

Arrested at 12:42 p.m. at NorthPark Center: a 25-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from  Sephora and assaulting a security officer. She was told to never return to the mall.

19 Friday

Reported at 12:53 p.m.: Property was stolen off the counter at Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Before at 1:55 p.m., a shoplifter cut the wires off of purses at Louis Vuitton at NorthPark Center in order to steal them.

Reported at 2:21 p.m.: the July 18 theft of a vehicle from the parking lot of Congregation Shaare Tefilla on Churchill Way.

20 Saturday

Reported at 1:27 a.m.: A burglar broke a window and took contents from a vehicle parked July 19 in Preston Royal Village.

Around 5:45 a.m., a would-be robber entered Destination Dog in the 4400 block of Lovers Lane.

Reported at 7:22 a.m.: After damaging state-owned property during a wreck in the 4500 block of Northwest Highway, the offending motorist drove away without leaving contact information.

Arrested at 9:42 p.m.: a 42-year-old man accused of driving while intoxicated, resisting arrest, and interfering with firefighters after a wreck in the 12000 block of Inwood Road.

Reported at 10:50 p.m.: A truck parked at NorthPark Center was stolen.

21 Sunday

Reported at 7:29 a.m.: A vehicle belonging to Hertz Rent-A-Car was stolen from the 4800 block of Mill Creek Place.

Reported at 7:36 a.m.: Property was stolen from St. Luke’s Episcopal Church on Royal Lane on July 20.

A driver, pulled over at 8:14 a.m. in the 5000 block of Walnut Hill Lane, was discovered with a a detectable amount of alcohol in his body.

Reported at 9:46 a.m.: the July 20 theft of a vehicle from a home in the 6300 block of Del Norte Lane.

Stolen before 6:31 p.m.: a vehicle parked at a home in the 5400 block of Purdue Avenue.

Reported at 7:05 p.m.: a robber took merchandise by force from the Sprint store at Northwest Highway and Lemmon Avenue.
