SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: BAD TRADE

Before 10:15 a.m. July 27, a 75-year-old woman living in the 6800 block of Bandera Avenue walked out to find all of the wheels missing off of her vehicle. However, the thieves did leave wooden blocks behind in place of the wheels.

 

DALLAS

22 Monday

The reporting time was not listed for a theft at Lowe’s in the 11900 block of Inwood Road. 

Burglarized before 10:06 p.m.: a vehicle parked at Inwood Village.

23 Tuesday

A Dallas woman reported a theft at St. Michael and All Angels Episcopal Church on Douglas Avenue. The reporting time was not provided.

Before 11:50 a.m., a shoplifter grabbed jewelry and ran out of Susan Saffron Jewelry Boutique on Lovers Lane.

Arrested at 4:56 p.m: a 19-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Before 5:31 p.m.: an unlocked hatch provided an opportunity for a thief to snatch property from a Texas Land Care truck parked in the 4600 block of Meadowood Road.

Reported at 8:21 p.m.: A resident of the 5100 block of Mill Run Road walked into a bar. While inside, a burglar broke his vehicle window and stole property.

24 Wednesday

The reporting time was not listed for a theft at Target on Westchester Drive.

Reported at 3:34 p.m.: A 73-year-old woman’s parked vehicle was struck by another at Preston Forest Center on July 23.

Arrested at 4:24 p.m.: A 17-year-old girl accused of shoplifting from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 8:16 p.m.: A cyberbully posted a video July 23 on Instagram making threats against a 43-year-old man who lives in the 5500 block of Caruth Boulevard

Who opened the shed July 23 at a home in the 4800 block of Thunder Road? The owners didn’t know, according to a report made at 8:18 p.m.

25 Thursday

Reported at 2:06 a.m.: A vehicle was stolen from the parking lot of NorthPark Center on July 24.

26 Friday

A thief snatched property from the driveway of a home in the 6200 block of Prestoncrest Lane. The owners reported the crime three days later.

Packages were stolen off the front porch of a home in the 6400 block of Joyce Way, and the owners reported the crime three days later.

Burglarized before 9:23 a.m.: two vehicles parked at an apartment complex in the 8500 block of Preston Road.

Before at 2:53 p.m., a shoplifter took headphones from the Apple Store at NorthPark Center

Reported at 7:34 p.m.: Thieves entered Ulta Beauty in Preston Forest Village, took property, and ran out without paying.

27 Saturday

Reported at at 7:28 a.m.: the theft of packages off the front porch of a 58-year-old man’s home in the 6600 block of Desco Drive.

Reported at 9:19 a.m.: A vehicle parked in a public area in the 8500 block of Thackery Street was vandalized on July 26.

Reported at 3:32 p.m.: A vehicle parked at NorthPark Center was struck and damaged by another. No information was left behind.

Arrested at 6:08 p.m.:a 64-year-old woman accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center. She also received a criminal trespassing warning.

28 Sunday

The reporting time was not listed for a theft from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center.

Burglars broke in through the backdoor of a home in the 12100 block of Madeleine Circle and left through the garage with appliances.

The arrest time fora 26-year-old man accused of being intoxicated on a public street in the 5000 block of Northaven Road was not provided.

Arrested at at 12:38 a.m.: a blonde-haired man accused of driving while intoxicated in the 5100 block of Northwest Highway.

Reported at 8:18 a.m.: Three burglars broke into Smoothie King at The Market at Preston Forest and took cash.

Before at 4:24 p.m., property was stolen from an 18-year-old resident of an apartment complex in the 11400 block of Crest Brook Drive.
