Former ESD Rower Takes World Bronze

Katelin Gildersleeve, a 2019 ESD graduate, earned a bronze medal for the United States at the World Rowing Junior Championships on Sunday in Tokyo.

In the women’s single sculls classification, Gildersleeve placed third in the final in 8 minutes, 41.9 seconds, behind boats from Germany and Russia.

Gildersleeve, who will row for Stanford beginning this fall, won her heat on Friday before finishing third in the semifinal round on Saturday.
