Crime Reports Sept. 2 – 8

SKULDUGGERY OF THE WEEK: IT’S NOW A FELONY

Some thief didn’t get the memo, but it’s now a felony charge to steal packages off of people’s front porch. That occurred again, when a UPS package was stolen from a home in the 5600 block of Forest Lane on Sept. 3.

DALLAS

2 Monday

Criminal mischief was reported at 7:42 a.m. at a home in the 4800 block of Forest Bend Road.

Assault – a small fight broke out, it seems – was reported at 2:17 p.m. from a medical facility on Forest Lane.

An arrest for possession of cocaine was made at 3:57 p.m. in the 9600 block of Rockbrook Drive. The drug holder was also intoxicated.

An assault was reported at 10:01 p.m. in a hotel in the 5900 block of Luther Lane. The 31-year-old woman, who was arrested, was intoxicated.

3 Tuesday

A theft was reported at the 5500 block of Druid Lane.

A backpack was stolen from a Subaru parked in the 5700 block of Lovers Lane at 8:42 a.m.

An out-of-town stolen vehicle was recovered at 12:03 p.m. in the 5100 block of Kelton Street.

A motor vehicle was burglarized while parked in the 3500 block of Inwood Drive at 5:09 p.m.

4 Wednesday

Reported at 1:28 p.m.: On Sept. 2, a theft was reported from an apartment in the 8500 block of Edgemere Road.

Dine-and-dash at 3:59 p.m.: A 23-year-old man was arrested and accused of eating but not paying at Bread Winner’s Cafe at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 3:17 p.m.: A theft was reported at Lowe’s on Inwood Road on Sept. 3.

5 Thursday

Property was reported stolen from inside a vehicle parked in the 4300 block of Northaven Road at 10:04 a.m.

How rude! Arrested at 1:51 p.m.: a 21-year-old man accused of blowing vape smoke into someone’s face at NorthPark Center and then trying to pull away from officers during the arrest.

A verbal criminal trespassing warning was issued to some hooligans at Verizon on Forest Lane at 1:46 p.m.

Reported at 6:48 p.m.: A vehicle parked in an apartment parking lot was burglarized on September 3 in the 7600 block of Eastern Avenue.

Reported at 8:36 p.m.: A hit-and-run, damaging a parked vehicle, occurred in the parking lot in the 8600 block of Hillcrest Road on Sept. 4.

Reported at 9:31 p.m.: An unlocked vehicle parked at a townhouse complex on Meadow Road was burglarized.

Reported at at 9:57 p.m.: A burglar broke the window of a vehicle parked in Preston Center to steal property.

6 Friday

Arrested at 11:41 a.m.: a 25-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Reported at 3:35 p.m.: A home was burglarized on Sept. 5 in the 5800 block of Park Lane.

A home in the 4400 block of Irvin Simmons Road was vandalized at 5:45 p.m.

Arrested at 6:11 p.m.: a 35-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

A scary situation was reported at 11:17 p.m. at the Texaco in the 12000 block of Preston Road: A robber brandished a weapon at the cashier and stole property.

7 Saturday

Arrested at at 5:36 p.m.: a 48-year-old woman in the 6600 block of Tulip Lane  for outstanding warrants out of Lost Hill.

A car was burglarized at 4:21 p.m. in the 12000 block of Inwood Road.

Arrested at 4:28 p.m.: a 33-year-old man accused of shoplifting from Macy’s at NorthPark Center.

Arrested at 6:50 p.m.:  a 46-year-old woman accused of  public intoxication at Preston Center

A car was burglarized at 8:21 p.m. in the 12000 block of Inwood Road.

8 Sunday 

Reported at 8:41 a.m.: A package was stolen off the front porch of a home in the 5400 block of Stanford Avenue.

RP Texas reported vandalism to company property at 5:33 p.m. in the 12000 block of Inwood Road.
