Crime Reports Oct. 7 – 13

An 84-year-old man’s day didn’t start off as sweetly as expected. Before 8:43 a.m. Oct. 13, a thief fled the Original Pancake House at Midway Road and Northwest Highway with the senior adult’s property.

7 Monday
Police did not provide the reporting time nor store name for shoplifting at Preston Forest Village.

Police didn’t provide the reporting time for vandalism at a home in the 7100 and 7200 blocks of Lakehurst Avenue.

Taken before 11:04 p.m.: a Lewisville man’s vehicle from near the Shinsei Restaurant on Inwood Road.

8 Tuesday
Before 4:15 p.m., one or more burglars stole property from vehicles at a home in the 11400 block of Royalshire Drive.

9 Wednesday
Before 9:31 a.m., a burglar took property from a vehicle at a home in the 5800 block of Elderwood Drive.

Not so fast! A thief attempted to take a vehicle from a home in the 5500 block of Montrose Drive and the owner reported it the next afternoon.

Reported at 12:58 p.m.: an Oct. 8 shoplifting incident at Ulta Beauty at Preston Forest Village.

Reported at 6:47 p.m.: the unlawful entry of a Dallas man’s vehicle while parked Oct. 8 at Semones Family YMCA (Town North) on Northaven Road.

The pink bag the shoplifter used to conceal merchandise from Neiman Marcus at NorthPark Center didn’t go unnoticed. Arrested at 8:23 p.m.: a 49-year-old woman also facing outstanding warrants from Dallas County, Hurst, and Garland.

Before 9:10 p.m., a Cedar Hill man had a knife brandished at him at Lowe’s on Inwood Road.

10 Thursday
What’s the hurry? And Oct. 10 theft from a home in the 8500 block of Thackery Drive was reported five days later.

11 Friday
Police did not provide the reporting time for a theft at Enlighten MD in the 5200 block of Forest Lane.

Burglarized before 9:39 a.m.: a vehicle at a home in the 10400 block of Shadow Bend Drive.

Before 9:53 a.m., a burglar took property from a vehicle parked at the Cooper Fitness Center on Preston Road.

Reported at 12:36 p.m.: An employee had been keeping her own Victoria Secrets, taking property over a period of time from the NorthPark Center store without permission. Police arrested a 25-year-old woman with outstanding warrants out of Lancaster.

Before 4:21 p.m., a robber fled with money from Comerica Bank at Preston Center.

12 Saturday
Arrested at 2:59 a.m.: a 39-year-old woman accused of driving under the influence in the 7200 block of Inwood Road.

Before 3:25 p.m., a motorist drove off after striking a vehicle in a parking lot in the 5500 block of West Lovers Lane.

13 Sunday
Taken before 4:53 p.m.: a 62-year-old woman’s vehicle from her home in the 6100 block of Averill Way.

Taken before 6:56 p.m.: a vehicle from a home in the 6000 block of Meadow Road.
