Spieth Wins Third Straight Byron Nelson Junior Championship
He’s only been mentioned in our paper about a bajillion times, but so long as he keeps up his current level of awesomeness, expect another bajillion mentions over the next year. Jesuit rising senior Jordan Spieth has one his third consecutive Byron Nelson Junior Championship. In the wake of a darn good showing at the adult version of the famed tourney, his first PGA event (a performance for which he scored the ultimate in sporting glory, an interview on ESPN’s SportsCenter) and two consecutive 5A state championships, the win isn’t exactly a surprise. But still pretty awesome for a 16-year-old.
